Molecular characterization Pinus merkusii native Kerinci revealed by rbcL

چکیده

Pinus merkusii native Kerinci, also known as Sigi, shares the same taxonomic family Aceh but differs in morphology, anatomy, and physiology. Additionally, P.merkusii Kerinci has a high utilization potential its population is decreasing entry of around can result erosion original genetic source (germplasm). The molecular characteristics differences with will be studied using rbcL. Molecular character compared rbcL marker 4 individuals. results obtained for analysis are percentage conservative characters at 100%, four populations located cluster branch length. This indicates large individual similarity between five populations. These tend to prove that Native kerinci taxa species cannot distinguish Aceh.

Molecular characterization of a dehydroascorbate reductase from Pinus bungeana.

Abstract Dehydroascorbate reductase (DHAR) plays a critical role in the ascorbate-glutathione recycling reaction for most higher plants. To date, studies on DHAR in higher plants have focused largely on Arabidopsis and agricultural plants, and there is virtually no information on the molecular characteristics of DHAR in gymnosperms. The present study reports the cloning and characteristics of a...

Molecular Adaptation of rbcL in the Heterophyllous Aquatic Plant Potamogeton

BACKGROUND Heterophyllous aquatic plants show marked phenotypic plasticity. They adapt to environmental changes by producing different leaf types: submerged, floating and terrestrial leaves. By contrast, homophyllous plants produce only submerged leaves and grow entirely underwater. Heterophylly and submerged homophylly evolved under selective pressure modifying the species-specific optima for ...

Genetic diversity and structure of native and non-native populations of the endangered plant Pinus dabeshanensis.

Owing to a severe decline in its abundance, Pinus dabeshanensis has been listed as an endangered species by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Although several restoration events have been undertaken since the 1960s, the natural population genetic structure of this species remains to be investigated. Herein, we examined the level of genetic diversity and structure of two na...

Genetic diversity and taxonomic status of Pinus tabulaeformis f. shekanensis revealed by ISSR markers.

Pinus tabulaeformis f. shekanensis is a rare taxon endemic in the Ziwuling Loess Plateau, of which only one population is known. Inter-simple sequence repeat molecular markers were employed to compare the taxon's genetic diversity with its 4 nearest wild relatives (P. tabulaeformis, P. tabulaeformis var. mukdensis, P. massoniana, and P. henryi) to assess the taxonomic status of P. tabulaeformis...

Multitargeting by curcumin as revealed by molecular interaction studies.

Curcumin (diferuloylmethane), the active ingredient in turmeric (Curcuma longa), is a highly pleiotropic molecule with anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, chemopreventive, chemosensitization, and radiosensitization activities. The pleiotropic activities attributed to curcumin come from its complex molecular structure and chemistry, as well as its ability to influence multiple signaling molecules. ...
